DOMAINE FOND CYPRÈS

Corbieres, France

In 1998 Laetitia Ourliac and Rodolphe Gianesini bought a forgotten 18 ha of vineyard and set about learning the ins and outs of winemaking. It took 6 years of study but in 2004 Domaine Fond Cypres was born. The couple makes wine that expresses the terroir of Escales in the northernmost part of the Corbieres AOC. They also grow olives, tomatoes, eggplants and wild herbs on their land.

The vineyard has calcareous soil and is influenced by “vent cers” winds and the humid air brought in by the Mediterranean.
